About the School ...
Brookhaven Elementary School is nestled near the heart of Brookhaven’s thriving downtown, and the school is close to the hearts of Brookhaven residents. While providing a quality education to 3rd and 4th graders, the school offers many programs and annual events that enrich the lives of its students.
As school welcomes a new year, a teaching staff of 31 serves 443 students in both 3rd and 4th grades. In addition to an academic education, the staff at BES strives to teach students good character, responsibility and positive behavior. To achieve this goal, the students at BES participate in many projects during the academic year such as the annual Reading Fair, Character Development Programs, Career Days and Anti-Bullying Seminars. Students also participate in reward programs – both inside their individual classrooms and through school-wide recognition. These programs reinforce their efforts in becoming positive role models and exhibiting leadership traits.
To prepare students for their upcoming careers in middle school, BES encourages a well-rounded child who can perform well academically while also contributing to their surrounding community.
