About the School ...
For 450 students, Alexander Junior High means a critical step for developing students in the Brookhaven School District as it bridges from middle school years into high school. The Alexander staff takes student development to heart as they prepare young teenagers for high school and beyond.
In addition to a full selection of courses, Alexander offers accelerated instruction to further challenge and prepare their students. The school’s courses in the area of extra-curricular activities are accomplished with Band and Choral programs regularly receiving superior ratings at competition. Other than musical offerings such as band or choir, students can also enrich their skills in physical fitness, computers or art. Leadership abilities are polished through acceptance in National Junior Honor Society or Student Council.
By the time students enter into the halls of Alexander Junior High, their journey into high school and even into college has already begun. The teachers and staff at AJH encourage their students to make the most of their opportunities during this time of growth and development.
